Route Section Team Leader

Coordinating volunteers to plan, support, host overnight and walk their route section.

what's the role?

We’re looking for capable and enthusiastic volunteer Route Section Team Leaders (RSTL) for each of the 20 route sections of between 3 and 9 days that make up the 750-mile relay to the COP26 UN Climate Talks. The primary role of the team leader will be coordinating volunteers to plan, support, host overnight and walk some of their route section.

Your job as RSTL would be to:
(i) arrange the logistics of your route section
(ii) directly support and coordinate all volunteers and walkers leading up to the relay (on the day
coordination by Lead Walkers), including identifying gaps and doing local networking to fill them
(iii) liaise with the regional route coordinator.

An ideal RSTL would be connected with local community groups and provide local knowledge and possible support with local recruitment.

what's the time commitment?

2-4 hours per week for two months but this may vary a lot depending on by route section length and local connections.
