Residency Host

Hosting the boat in your building

what's the role?

Your job as Residency Host would be to ensure that the boat can be brought into the host venue and kept there
safely (more information is available on the Residency Hub guide if this does not make sense). The boat will be 7 feet (2 metres) long, 2 feet (0.6 m) across and with the mast and sails attached about 10 feet (3 metres) high. It will be light enough to be displayed on a table and will be full of colour and carried in a procession. It will have a flat bottom and can be comfortably carried by two people and displayed on a table. Your job as the RH is to ensure good safekeeping of the boat, and it would be displayed and handled well whilst in the host venue.

what's the time commitment?

1-3 hours per day for the duration of the residency. You will also need to be coordinating with the Residency Hub Team Leader and Boat Transporter in the weeks prior to the residency. It will be more time intensive in the fortnight ahead of the Residency Hub.
