Residency Hub Team Leader

Coordinating volunteers to plan, support, and run any events in the Residency Hub

what's the role?

We’re looking for capable and enthusiastic volunteer Residency Hub Team Leaders (RHTL) for each of the 10 hub cities along our 750-mile relay to the COP26 UN Climate Talks. The primary role of the team leader will be coordinating volunteers to plan, support, and run any events that form the Residency Hub they are responsible for.

Your job as RHTL would be to
(i) arrange the logistics of the Residency Hub, including the arrival and send off of the boat (see information on yccn.uk if this doesn’t make sense yet) and its stay in the host venue
(ii) directly support and coordinate all supporting volunteers and be the point of contact back with YCCN
(iii) plan a programme of local events using the local celebration guide, with a campaigning focus on climate finance as part of #RiseToTheMoment.

An ideal RSTL would show creativity and passion in drawing together a wide range of people in the city, including local community groups, church and faith leaders, as well as local media and the local MPs with #RiseToTheMoment.

what's the time commitment?

2-4 hours per week for two months; this may vary a lot depending on the scale of what you plan in this capacity. It will be more time intensive in the fortnight ahead of the Residency Hub.
